Warning: Revealing details for Episode 3 of the new season follow below.
The Warrior Group Introduced
The latest chapter ended with a huge suspense moment and revealed the initial group of characters who will split off from the central cast to undertake their independent quest, separate from the remaining groups.
The Soldiers table includes Teor (portrayed by Travis Willingham), the agile character (the talented performer), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).
Why Split the Party?
With an extensive roster, it was obvious from the start that maintaining everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Prelude, weaving together the personal journeys before dividing into three smaller tables: Warriors, Schemers, and Questers.
What Defines the Combat Party
Per the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who enjoy a traditionally charged battle-oriented gameplay experience where non-violent answers are scarce.
Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest the cleric might look unsuited, but the developments of episode 3 demonstrate why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.
Why They Must Go
To begin with, the party knows exactly where to head next after a intense opening clash with The Crow Keepers.
Casimir of the deceased character—whose passing started the story’s plot—exploited the enemy for his personal gain, breaking into the hidden lair, attacking the character, and swiping all the powerful objects to auction.
The antagonist then paid off his debts and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, above the urban center, with Cyd hot on his heels.
Personal Motivations
Additionally, each adventurer has a specific drive to leave the city Dol-Makjar:
- The agile hero, as the close ally and trusted friend, wants vengeance.
- Kattigan is familiar with Timmony and advises that it is a nasty place.
- The strong character and The healer, having disobeyed his house’s orders to eliminate the target and instead saved him, have no other options.
- Yet, their position as important members in the powerful family could help the party access areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Moreover, Teor swore a life debt to Wicander for his rescue and will now accompany him wherever.
Fugitives
In addition, all of them are sought by the powers that govern Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making staying in the city too risky:
- Thimble and The character are known criminals.
- The strong figure and Wicander turned against the influential house and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
- Teor is marked for death by House Halovar.
This results in them no alternative but to head to the northern region in search of Casimir.
